The Winter Wonderland of Drag Racing Returns

It is time to mark your calendars for HangoverFest XI as January 1, 2012 is just around the corner. "After dealing with a huge amount of snow for last years event, we are hopeful that we will not have that for this year" mentioned Track Operator Scott Gardner.

Gates open at 10 AM with racing underway at 11 AM and going into the afternoon. "It's a great opportunity to blow off some steam from the hustle and bustle of the holidays" continued Gardner. For those not familiar with the "open racing" concept; it's actually pretty simple and a lot of fun. Those who want to race simply enter at the gate, go through a quick technical inspection and then proceed to the staging lanes. From that point they can make as many runs down the quarter-mile as they would like or time allows. Very different from other types of motorsports (go-carts, etc), where you are limited in the fun.

For those who just want to join the fun and action, we will have the heated Interstate Batteries Cafe open with great food specials and $1 Bloody Mary's for those 21+ and not racing. Of course free aspirin is available at the front gate for the people who might have had to much New Year's Eve cheer.
