DRAG FEST COMING TO CORDOVA DRAGWAY, SATURDAY, AUGUST 6

Plus Low Roller, Test-n-Tune & Heartland Drag Racing Association

A new event has been added to the Cordova Dragway Park schedule of events as Vintage Torque and The Bombers Car Club presents Drag Fest on Saturday, August 6. The "Drag Fest" portion of the event is designed for 1966 and older cars. Gassers, Altereds, Dragsters, Super Stock, Stock, Cruizers, Kustoms and Hot Rods are all welcome. In addition, vendors will be attendance along with a swap meet. To continue the mood of the event, bands will begin at 3 PM and play throughout the evening. "We are looking forward to hosting this event, mentioned Track Operator Scott Gardner, I'm sure we will see a lot of very interesting vehicles here at Cordova." Drag Fest Promoter John Wells said "We are hoping to re-create the same atmosphere that was the true spirit or racing in the the mid 60's"

The event will be a "Billet Free Zone"  with entries of 1966 or older with period correct wheels. However, exceptions can be made for vintage race cars but must be pre-approved by John Wells. If you have a cool car but doesn't meet this standard, don't worry because Cordova Dragway Park has open test-n-tune and a different parking area for you! So plan to bring out the wicked 1970 Charger because we would love to see it.

In addition to the Drag Fest and open Test-n-Tune there will be a Low Roller and the Heartland Racing Association (heads-up classes). For more information on this event, click here.
