TWO FAST BRACKET RACING PROGRAMS FOR 2011

Two separate race programs will be offered in 2011 at Cordova Dragway Park at select events to promote fast bracket racing. “We are always excited to have the opportunity to provide unique programs that encourage good racing at Cordova” said Scott Gardner. “We are very fortunate to have some great sponsor supporters involved in making this happen” he continued.

SUPER 16 SERIES FOR 2011

Layne Automotive and Speed has renewed the Super 16 Series for 2011. “I enjoy this type of racing and many of my customers do as well” mention Anthony Layne.
Layne also brought in Lewiestanning.com who will now become the presenting sponsor of the Series as well. The Super 16 Series is designed for the quickest 16 vehicles (excluding motorcycles) to qualify and race in a special class. In addition a Series Points Funds will again be provided. The rules and regulations will remain in place as in 2010.

WEST RACING HEADS SPONSORS NEW DOORSLAMMER SERIES

West Racing Heads has signed as the Title Rights Sponsor for a brand new doorslammer Series at Cordova Dragway Park for 2011. The West Racing Heads Quick 8 will be contested at select events. The program is designed to encourage quick all out doorslammer racing in a bracket format. “We are excited have Don West on board so that we can provide this unique program” mentioned Track Operator Scott Gardner.
The West Racing Heads Quick 8 is for doorslammers only. The quickest 8 will qualify and must dial off their quickest qualifying E.T or up to 1/10 quicker. The maximum allowable dial-in (again based on qualifying is 8.99). “We wanted to be involved in a program that limits sand bagging” mentioned Don West, the dial-in rule is designed to achieve that goal” he continued.
