DRO NITRO NOSTALGIA FUNNY CARS

With twelve cars pre-entered for the O'Reilly Auto Parts World Series of Drag Racing in the Drag Racing Online Nitro Nostalgia Funny Car class presented by Lucas Oil, it's bound to be one heck of a show. "This class just keeps getting stronger and more entertaining" said Scott Gardner. "Several of the Funny Cars can now post elapsed times in the 5's at around 240 mph" he continued.

Expected to attend are Funny Cars from as far away as California and Texas to go head to head against the best cars from the Midwest. "We have heard the we might see the original Blue Max and the Candies and Hughes Cars" mentioned Gardner "these were the top names and cars of the 80's and it would be honor to have them here."

Qualifying for the Nitro Nostalgia Funny Car "Elite 8 car Field" will begin on Friday evening, August 27 as part of the World Series "Night of Thrills" show. A second and final qualifying session is set for early Saturday afternoon. Fans who attend the Friday Night show and arrive in the early afternoon on Saturday will not only see two awesome qualifying sessions but also round one action of this powerful class.
