EDDYVILLE'S BRUCE MAIN HEADING TO POMONA

Bruce Main who captured the "Race of Champions" win at the NHRA Division 5 Bracket Finals in Topeka, KS has qualified to race at the NHRA Finals in Pomona, CA. "Normally the Super Pro champion from the Bracket Finals would represent Division 5 at Pomona" said NHRA Division Director Rob Park. "However, he will be in Hawaii getting married that weekend and our rules state that the Race of Champions winner is the alternate, so Bruce is now the man" he concluded.

Main, who drove his "Terminator" Firebird to the win the Race of Champions will officially represent Division 5 as well as Eddyville Raceway Park in a special run-off of the seven division qualifiers. "We are very happy to have Bruce attend this event" said Eddyville's Gerald Kramer. "He is the model of consistency and stands an excellent chance in winning there" he said.

Qualifers from each Division receive travel expenses of $3,500 to attend the NHRA Summit Racing Series National Finals in Pomona, Calif., Nov. 1-4, held in conjunction with the NHRA POWERade season closer, where they will compete for a national championship, $5,000, a national champion's trophy, and bragging rights for the year.

Sister facilities of Cordova Dragway Park and Cedar Falls Raceway wish Bruce the best of luck in his bid for the title.
