LUND JR OK AFTER DOWN TRACK INCIDENT 

Dennis Lund Jr walked away from a roll-over accident Saturday night at Cordova Dragway Park. According to this father, Dennis Sr, it appears that a mechanical malfunction caused the wheels to lock up on the dragster a few hundred feet past the finish line. "We have examined the dragster and found an issue with the drive train that probably caused the wheels to lock up" said Lund Sr.

Cordova EMT's checked out Lund Jr after the incident and he waived any further medical attention. Dennis Sr reports that Dennis Jr is sore and rightfully sad today although happy he wasn't seriously hurt. Dennis Jr. had recently completed college and along with his father had poured their life savings into the construction of the dragster. We at CDP hope the damage is limited and Dennis can return to racing soon.
