FUNNY CARS AND DRAGSTERS ADDED TO CORDOVA LODRS
CONCRETE WALL TO BE COMPLETED PRIOR TO EVENT

The popular Supercharged Nitro Dragsters and Funny Cars will be contested at the NHRA/Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series (LODRS) on Friday and Saturday, August 1-2, 2008. "We stayed with the 2 day format so that we can feature final eliminations on Saturday Night under the lights" said Track Operator Scott Gardner. "In addition the Funny Cars and Dragsters will have at least one qualifying session on Friday evening." he continued. Sunday, August 3 will be used as a rain date should there be a need for one.

"Cordova Dragway Park has made the commitment to put in concrete wall" said NHRA Division Director Rob Park. "Their continued commitment to facility improvements along with their location, makes a LODRS event a natural for our racers" he concluded.
