BUSY STRETCH AHEAD AT CDP
The AMC Nationals will kick-off on Saturday morning at 8 AM and is followed by an all brands bracket race starting at 3 PM. Then on Sunday, the Hot Rod Magazine Drag Week begins at CDP as hundreds of cars from all across the United States gather to begin the 1500 mile street legal journey. “Sunday, is the Hot Rod test day at the track and Monday is day number one of competition” continued Gardner. The Drag Week competitors will then leave on their journey to race tracks across the Midwest and then return to CDP on Friday for the finale. Hot Rod Magazine Drag Week is a competition of the fastest and quickest street legal cars that can make a 1500 mile journey and still compete each day at race tracks. Admission to the Hot Rod Drag Week events at CDP are Free to the Public (Sunday, Monday & Friday, Sept 9, 10 & 14). The next several days will busy for racers and fans at Cordova Dragway Park. This weekend begins several race events. In addition to a Fun Night and a Points Bracket race, the AMC Nationals and the kick-off off the Hot Rod Magazine Drag Week all are happening at CDP. “The AMC Nationals on Saturday, is an unique event that features the American Motors cars of yesteryear and includes a car show and swap meet” said Scott Gardner.
